Bringing Animals to Life
KYRA'S FINE ART

MORE ABOUT
KYRA'S FINE ART
I’m a wildlife biologist by training, but in my spare time I try to capture the animals I study and love on paper. As an artist, I take great pride in my work, and am not satisfied with completing a project until it "feels right". Sometimes that takes upwards of 60 hours to achieve, but I am willing to put in the time and effort it takes.

It was only at the end of 2022 that I began my journey as a colored pencil artist, and I found that I loved it so much that I decided to continue to develop my new-found skill and ended up launching my small business, Kyra's Fine Art, in January 2023. Even though my portraits are based off photos, I attempt to capture additional elements that are not captured by a photo: personality, character, heart, and soul. Some people might say, "why not just print a photo and frame it?" But even though one of my portraits might look like a photo, you will see that they somehow capture much more than a simple photograph.
